The Haskell and broader typed functional programming job market seems to be coming to life, at least if google ads are anything to go by:
And these are not just the usual suspects (places like Galois, where I started working as a Haskell hacker just a few weeks ago). In the past months I’ve seen “help wanted” signs for Haskell programmers for a curious range of positions:
- F# hackers
- New York finance jobs
- Web developers
- Top tier investment banks
- Quantitative Functional Programmers
- Open source Haskell
Does this mean the lambda has been “commoditised”?
Long live the lambda revolution! ;)
